Like a fraction, a ratio should be reduced to lowest terms.
In order to solve a ratio problem, you may have to calculate one of the numbers in a ratio.
In one neighborhood, 7 homeowners have snow-blowers and 28 home owners use shovels. What is the ratio of snow-blowers to shovels?
A) 1:4
B) 7:4
